Poems From Local Newspapers

John B. Cable wrote hundreds of poems, many of which were published in local newspapers of Warren and Jamestown. They, like the ones of his two books paint for us a picture of early 1900's, late 1800's life in the Warren-Jamestown region. These poems are not indexed, and must be sought out by reviewing microfilms page by page. Thanks are due to the staff of the Warren Public Library for assistance while these searches continue. It is quite exciting to find a new verse after page by page of searching. As more poems are found in the papers, they will be added to this site for all to enjoy.
